St. Patrick's Day

Here are a few ideas for a fun St. Patrick's Day
-Using green food coloring to dye your roll dough or pancake batter. Make rolls into mini balls, and put three together with a bread stem to make shamrocks. You could do the same with pancakes. Kids will love it.
-Take a cue from IHOP and serve green eggs and ham for breakfast. Add spinach to your scrambled eggs, and if you are brave, green food coloring.
-Make green Jello, of course!
-Serve reubens or corned beef hash for dinner. Make a side of irish soda bread. Recipes can be found at Allrecipes.
-Buy a clover and tend it as a family.
-Take turns being a leprechaun and hiding small treasures, such as a piece of candy. Whoever finds it is the next leprechaun.
-Make a pot o' goodies. They need not be expensive, maybe a few dollar store toys, homemade finger paint, and playdoh. For the weeks leading up to  St. Patricks Day, award gold coins made of paper for good deeds, chores completed, homewrok done, and such. Whoever has the most coins on St. Patricks Day gets the pot o' goodies.
